I need to have an excerpt emailed to my email subscibers when I post

  When I post the whole post shows up in my email subscibers inbox. This means they can read it without clicking on my site. I need them to be emailed an excerpt only. I have jetpack on my site. Please help! Thank you

  At Settings -> Reading in your blog’s Dashboard, select “For each article in a feed, show -> Full text.”

  I tried this just now on a previosly published post and re published it and it did not work. Any other ideas? I have jetpack.

  It won’t work on republished posts, you’ll need to publish a new post.

  The blog’s URL is http://myfamilyisnotbroken.com- last week we switched from wordpress.com and the jetpack upgrade was automatic

  Please try upgrading to the latest version of Jetpack, 1.4.1.

  Actually, I noticed that you still have your feed set to show summaries. If you didn’t, you’d see full posts at http://myfamilyisnotbroken.com/?feed=rss2 too.

  At Settings -> Reading in your blog’s Dashboard, select “For each article in a feed, show -> Full text.”

  I did still have it in wordpress.com but not in my new site
  at any rate I changed it in both – so I hope it works

  I did not need to make the change on my new site and told you that. You told me that I need to show —At Settings -> Reading in your blog’s Dashboard, select “For each article in a feed, show -> Full text. That has been the case for over a week on my new site.

  The change needs to be made on http://myfamilyisnotbroken.com/ via Settings -> Discussion in that blog’s Dashboard http://myfamilyisnotbroken.com/wp-admin/

  The Dashboard for your WordPress.com blog only affects your WordPress.com blog. It does not affect your self-hosted WordPress.org blog or Jetpack.

  I am sorry I DO NOT UNDERSTAND. You asked me to change to “Full Summary” in readings – I did that over 10 days ago. Please explain what you want me to do as I am very confused. It does not email an exceprt
