I need to hide everything.

Can somone help me with the css code to hide everything except for the actual blogs.
I need to get rid of the search, archives, bottom text, etc. -
maybe by going to presentation/widgets and remove the corresponding widgets? Just an idea. :)

The text at the bottom of the pages is hard-coded into the themes. As I understand it you can hide it if you have the CSS upgrade, and also are familiar with editing/writing CSS

Why don’t you just choose a theme with no sidebars? There are one or two. But as TSP says, the stuff at the bottom of the page is only hideable with the CSS upgrade. You would just put display none instead of the regular information. You should be able to comb through the CSS and find the footer.

Option 1
Not all themes have the same features or functionality and there are some themes without widgets. So if you want widgets do not select Ambiru, Supposedly Simple or Green Marinee. If you want to read about features first engtech has done theme reviews http://internetducttape.com/tools/wordpress/wordpress-theme-reviews/
Option 2
(1) Removing footer links is not possible without a css upgrade.
(2) But you can purchase a css upgrade and achieve what you want.https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic.php?id=11710&page&replies=27#post-83510
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic.php?id=11710&page&replies=27#post-83690The css upgrade is not recommended to bloggers who lack css editing experience as there is no staff support for learning css.

while those themes don’t have widget functionality (as far as adding to or changing the widgets), i believe they still have info in the sidebar.
The best way to have a completely empty sidebar is to choose one that does have widget functionality, then drag an empty text widget into it. This will get rid of the default sidebar and leave you with one that is effectively empty.

I do have the css upgrade. I want to get rid of the text at the bottom of the page. I also want to hide the entire left column.
can anyone help with that code?

Staff doesn’t provide support for learning css. However, from time to time those who have css expertise do drop into the forum and offer help. Please be patient until one gets to you. :)

konfusedink, what exactly are you trying to do? Wording that different, what information do you want to show and what theme do you plan on doing it with as that is also important to know!
