I need to merge two accounts of mine

  Hi,

  I have a wordpress account where I was building my page before buying a domain, I’m a begginer and I wanted time to practice before start paying. Now i’ve already bought my domain and hosting (with Hostgator in case that information helps), and I didn’t know how to link my new domain to the web I have been building in wordpress. In the end I followed some tutorials but I ended up installing wordpress again through Hostgator’s C-panel, and now I have two different accounts, the new one linked to my domain, and the old one how it was, with the web I want to link to that domain.

  What can I do?

  There are two versions of WordPress. WordPress.com and WordPress.org also known as self-hosted WordPress.

  What you have installed on Hostgator’s C-panel is self-hosted WordPress.org software.

  First please read the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ and decide which one would you like to pick and let me know.

  Your next steps depend on your choice.

  My two accounts are under WordPress.org, and so far I’d rather keep it like that.

  So now I would like to have all I’ve done here (http://localhost:8080/wordpress/) in my new account linked to my domain (http://rodriguezgallery.com/)

  If you wish to use self-hosted version i.e. WordPress.org, then https://wordpress.org/support/ is the right forum to get help.

  This forum is only to help WordPress.com users.
