I need to remove this domain name so it's not searchable

    I registered this URL and would like to delete it permanently so that the names and content are not searchable. This was a private memorial site and now the images and names show on Google.

    Deleting the URL will not necessarily help as cached copies of your site can remain on Google for several weeks. In fact, I see you’ve already removed all content, which obviously didn’t help. Best would be to set your blog to private under Settings ->Reading in the dashboard and then wait for it to drop in the Google search results. That way if people do find your blog in Google and click on it they’ll get a notice that the site is private and they’re not allowed to access it. If your blog is registered on Google’s webmaster tools you can also submit a request to have it removed here: https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/removals

    It will take a few months for search engines to update their cache’s. Might be a bit quicker if the site is just left open, then when a search engine crawls your site they will get the 404 not found for the content.

    Did you also clear the Media Library? Just deleting a Post will not delete any pictures associated with that Post

    Thank you both for your amazing help. I have deleted the site permanently as I emptied the content several months ago and the images still come up on Google Images. I hope this helps.

    Deleting blog content and deleting blogs does not remove any indexed content from the SERPs (search engine page results). Google and Bing only clear their caches of deleted indexed content that produces a 404 (page not found) every 3 – 6 months. To completely remove an entire page from Google search results: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/1663419?hl=en
