I Need Your Help
-
I’m writing this blog, which I believe can be very special, anonymously. This is making it very difficult for me to promote via Twitter or Facebook because I don’t want people to know who is writing it.
Does anyone have any promotion advice that I could follow? I really want to spread this blog around.

Please do not think that for a single moment your are actuality anonymous online. You may write under a pseudonym but that does not make you anonymous. Over the years I have seen several bloggers who thought they were anonymous leaving breadcrumb trails that anyone could follow and I did indeed follow them and did identify them quite easily. We all leave digital fingerprints online and most of us are so desirous of “connecting” that we give out the personal information required to trace us right to our doorsteps.
I recommend reading How to Blog Safely (About Work or Anything Else)
http://www.eff.org/wp/blog-safelySetting that aside how to promote your blog doesn’t change just because your are writing under a pseudonym. There is a thread on this here https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/traffic-and-a-new-blog?replies=13
There are also multiple threads in the forum searchbox containing blog promotion ideas. And, we have a Showcase Forum where we can promote our wordpress.com blogs. I will flag this so our Moderators move this thread to that forum for you.
Best wishes. :) -
No one knows who I am and many have tried to find out who I am and where I live. Many have threatened to sue me while others have threatened me with physical harm. But I just have never told anyone anything personal about me in the sense of name, address, phone number, or where I work.

The EFF’s advice, linked above, is good.
The only thing I’ll add is: be aware of who and what you are trying to protect yourself from. Then think about the ways each of them might happen, or the ways each person might discover your identity, and work from there. It seems obvious but most people skip the first step.

Of course, nothing prevents you from registering a Twitter account under the pseudonym, but Facebook does prevent you from registering pseudonymous profiles. You can, however, register a pseudonymous Fan Page.
