I need your IP address to redirect my domain name to my new blog with you
-
The dot com domain upgrade I bought with you still points to my old website – I thought I had done all the correct DNS etc but now I am beginning to panic.
The host of my old website says I need to redirect my domain name by getting your IP address. I am no technical wizard so would appreciate your help … spelled out simply. :)
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
See the yellow notice at the top of https://angelajardinedotcom.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains&action=dnsedit&domain=angelajardine.com
You will need to map your DNS servers to us: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/#instructions-for-mapping-an-existing-domain
Here is how to do so with some of the most popular domain registrars: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/#how-to-change-your-name-servers -
Thank you steph – I did that yesterday with my thingy site (123-reg.co) and note that today on my WP blog it says my blog is active.
However when I look for it under angelajardine.com the server cannot find it!
I am very worried as it all seems to be very confusing -
I’m sorry Steph … I am still having problems.
My domain name provider says they are seeing my blogsite ‘Sleeping with the cat’ under my domain name which is what I want.
However when I put in my domain name (upgraded with you) – angelajardine.com – it comes up with their log in page instead.
I have cleared all my caches and web history and reset Safari twice and I don’t know what to do now.
Can you check that everything looks okay at my WordPress end – I am desperate for some sort of positive help here.
Many thanks. -
All sorted … it appears I underestimated the time it would take to redirect the DNS. It took just under the maximum 48 hours.
