I no longer want to upgrade

    Hi there,

    To transfer content from your WordPress.com site to a new self-hosted site, go to My Site ->Settings here on WordPress.com. At the bottom you’ll see an export section. Click that and follow the steps to get an export of your content.

    Next log into your new site’s WP-Admin dashboard, then go to Tools ->Import ->WordPress. After installing the WordPress importer you’ll be able to upload that file, and that will cause your content to be imported. Once the text import completes, it should also move all your media files across, but it doesn’t always work so please don’t delete anything on our end until you’re sure everything has been migrated.

    Your WordPress.com site will need to be set to Public until this process completes, otherwise your media files also might not be transferred.
