I now have SAVE DRAFT rather than PUBLISH post
-
I used to have a button saying Publish post this is now save draft. I am ready to upgrade but need to have a reliable way of uploading entries each day in order not to lose followers.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

PLEASE HELP ME UPLOAD MY COMMENTS EACH DAY AS I HAVE A FEW FOLLOWERS WHO GET FED UP WITH THE UNRELIABILITY OF SITE AND ME BEING SLOW IN UPDATING

Hi Trevor,
The publish button is still in the publish box to the right of the text box where you write your posts. The button itself is blue. The save draft is simply there to save where you currently are.
If you have posts that you want to publish at a preset time, you can also do this by changing the “publish” settings (click on the edit link next to the “publish: immediately” line, and set the time and date you want the article to be published). This way, if you have several posts prepared in advance, you can set to them post at a specific time. This should help you with the consistency in updating, or ensuring that you will always have an update at a specific time.
Does that help, or can I clarify anything further for you?

Sorry but I do not see a publish button however hard we look . I have a message to resend my e-mail which i have done to the best of my ability. thank you for you help . It was very simple at first as the Publish button was at the bottom right of the test box. Thank you very much indeed for your help.

No problem. Are you able to take a screenshot of what you see?
I’m just trying to figure out where you are by looking at my dashboard. -
No sorry . i have Title plus a text box with three buttons at bottom with the rightmost a save draft option

Right, you’re using the QuickPress option.
This is going to seem like a long way around, but bear with me.
Try going into your dashboard > posts (should be under “store” on the left hand column) > select “add new” (second from the top of those options). It will give you the full options to blog. Make sure you select “visual” so you can see what your post will look like on the page, rather than playing with html.

Let me know how you get on, and if there is anything else I can do to help, or anything else I can decipher for you. :)

Yes, the Quick Post button is a terrible thing; it doesn’t actually connect with the autosave, and tons of people lose their entire posts that way. It’s just not a good idea to use it. Always go to the dashboard to make posts.

I agree. I find the Quick Post option incredibly frustrating. Having had a few lost posts there myself, I now always go through the dashboard.
