I only can buy/pay the mapping domain AFTER change NS

    I don’t understand the logic. I want move back my blog (I own a domain) to WordPress, when I go in buy “Mapping” the system tell me to change the NS.

    But this, just have to be done AFTER the buy. Think about it. If some goes wrong with the credit card, paypall and all that sort of third partner involved, the change of my domain ALREADY DONE.

    It’s that right?

    No worries, changing NS records can be done at anytime. If you want to map a domain or register one; go to Store > Domains on your blog’s dashboard and follow the steps there.

    Also, you may want to review the following guide before going through the process.

    Hi,

    But it’s what I’m trying to do, buy the mapping BEFORE the change, but I’m stuck in the page asking me to change de NS. If I do that (as asked) the actual blog will become inacessible.

    PS.: I already read all guides avaliable in support foruns.

    You’ll need to change the nameservers before purchasing the domain mapping. After you change the nameservers, it should take just a minute or two to purchase mapping.

    Hi there,

    Your blog may be unavailable for a limited amount of time, but there’s really no way around this.

    You’ll need to change your name servers to:

    ns1.wordpress.com
    ns2.wordpress.com
    ns3.wordpress.com

    And then purchase the domain mapping at Store -> Domains.

    Ok. I already changed the NS, and buy Domain Mapping next. I did the verification with Google Apps.

    Now my blog is out, let’s wait the DNS be updated around the world. Maybe tomorow it will became accessible again.

    If there’s no other way to do that procedure, then this it’s it.

    Worked now. I think that the problem in process is just write clear THAT the real redirect of site can be done whenever (when you see all the changes fine) you want to.

    Everything is fine now…
