I only want the most recent blog post to appear on the static home page

I’m using the Edin theme, and my site is here: https://maryropp.wordpress.com/
I have a static front page set, but it continues to put blog posts on the left column one after the other. I just want the three columns, with one box each: The Blog, About Salesability, About Mary. But I can’t seem to get those other blog posts to only appear on the blog page.
How can I do this?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Blog posts appear only on the blog posts page. Static home pages by definition do not display blog posts. You have to pick one or the other. You could always set your blog to open on the blog posts, but set it so that it only displays one post per page.

I’m sorry, but I don’t know what to tell you. They are appearing on my static home page. Please refer to the site above to see for yourself.

It looks like you’ve got your “static” front page set to Front Page Template. This template allows you to feature three pages. You’ve chosen your blog page as your first feature page. The other two featured pages are static pages. The front page is displaying exactly what it is set to display.
If you don’t want posts to display on the front page, then assign another page to display instead of the blog posts page. Of course, the page you replace it with could be a page containing only an image link to the blog posts page.

marylropp – The reason you’re seeing your blog posts in a long column is because you’ve selected your blog as the first featured page in Edin in the Customizer:
If you prefer not to see that, choose a page other than your blog as a featured page.
