I only want to show one post at a time

  Hello team,

  I am sorry to ask you a maybe stupid question but how do I only show 1 post on my main page? I went to dashboard and went to appearance, went to read and have the number one for number of posts to show. But it shows my current posts and all the other posts I ever wrote. What am I doing wrong?

  Currently the Infinite Scroll feature is activated on all WordPress.com. The minimum front page posts shown is 7. We are working on adding an option for Coraline to disable the Infinite Scroll feature, so you can show less posts on the front page.

  The option should appear in the Reading Settings soon.
