Hi there,
While it isn’t possible to delete a WordPress.com username, it is possible to deactivate your account and to empty and delete your sites contents (if you have created a site). By doing this, all data associated with your account will be removed. These are the steps you would need to follow:
To empty the contents of any of your sites, follow the steps outlined here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/empty-site/
You can then delete any sites by following the information in this guide: https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/. Make sure to cancel any paid upgrades first if you have any.
You can then remove all your personal information from within your Account Settings, except your username and email address. You can access your account settings by clicking on the Gravatar in the upper right hand corner of your WordPress admin bar. The two main pages where you would find personal information are at https://wordpress.com/me/account and https://wordpress.com/me/profile. You can also change the email address by creating a throw-away email address from online email provider and using that in place of your current email address.
If necessary there are various other steps you can take such as unsubscribing from email notifications, changing your username and changing your password. You can get more detailed information on all the steps involved in account deactivation at this page.
