I own a domain name in both .co.uk and .com but its already taken in wordpress

  I already have a domain name but the wordpress.com version is taken.

  I’d like to set up a blog using my .co.uk domain name (just purchased, not yet used) and would like to transfer it over to wordpress.com, but not sure how to do this if I cant set up an account becasue the wordpress version is taken. . . can anyone help please?

  Just pick a similar name for the wordpress.com blog. Once you set up domain mapping to your .co.uk domain people won’t see the .wordpress.com url anyway in normal browsing. (People who really want to know what it is can view it by looking at image URLs in your blog).

  For example my blog http://western-hindu.org/ has a wordpress URL of http://westernhindu.wordpress.com but you have to go out of your way to see this URL.
