I own a URL that I’d like to point at my WordPress blog

    I own an expired URL through a different provider. It still has me registered as the owner. I’d like assistance in getting that URL associated with my WordPress blog. Also, under ‘using a domain I already own’ in help on WordPress, there are options. I wanted to hear thoughts on those options so I could decide the best course of action.

    Hi there:

    First, we’ll need to know what domain you’re trying to add.

    Secondly, expired domains aren’t immediately available to be repurchased or transferred elsewhere – they typically go through an 80+ day redemption process. After this point, the domain re-enters the open domain marketplace for anyone to purchase.

    Before we can properly advise, we do need to know the current status of the domain.
