I own my .com.au domain but all others are taken!! Can I still use it?

  I am looking at creating a new site using wordpress (my domain is brighttype.com.au) and was hoping to upgrade so I am able to point it at my com.au domain name. However I have just noticed that brighttype.com, brighttype.wordpress.com etc etc are all taken. Someone’s trying to sell brighttype.com for $1700. I have registered a blog name as brighttypeblog.wordpress.com but will I be able to point it to brighttype.com.au being that the name is different?????

  Yes, the .wordpress name has nothing to do with the domain name. You can have fred.wordpress.com mapped to bill.com or jim.com.au!
