I payed the 24 $ yesterday to get a dot.com and my site still shows up as .wordpress.com

  Hello, yesterday I payed the 24 dollars to switch my site from a .wordpress.com to a .com. When I search on google the .wordpress.com still shows up? How do I get this resolved?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Is there any reason to pay 24 dollars if your site still shows up as .wordpress.com? Can any body help?

  It looks like your site is now loading at greatnorthsup.com on my side. Can you confirm it’s working for you as well? Just a note, you’ll still see the greatnorthsupadventures.wordpress.com address on admin pages. However, readers will only see greatnorthsup.com.

  I am not sure how you are finding that?When I search for my site greatnorthsup.com, it does not even show up from most computers? When I am signed out of my computer is does shoe up but on google search and other search engine is shoes up as my old site, greatnorthsupadventures.wordpress.com, and for some reason all of my email are going to my old account, not the new gmail account i created for the .com

  I believe we’re referring to two different issues. When I load greatnorthsup.com, I see your site loading. So, the domain greatnorthsup.com is working correctly.

  I believe you’re referring to what you see when you search for your site in Google. After changing your domain name, it can take Google up to a month or more to reindex your site with the new domain. You may see greatnorthsupadventures.wordpress.com until then. However, if someone visits greatnorthsupadventures.wordpress.com, they will automatically be redirected to greatnorthsup.com. Google will update eventually (unfortunately, we can’t speed that up!).

  ya that makes sense, hopefully it wont take that long for it to work. SOmething really wierd is going on with my account, when I try to sign on it says I do not have a site with wordpress,, ahhh so frustrating

  Currently, you’re signed in under sup23, which does not have a WordPress.com site. It looks like you have another account at WordPress.com that owns the site greatnorthsupadventures.wordpress.com. You will need to sign in under that account to access the site.
