  I plan to either transfer or connect my domain. I dont know which one is best. I need the full pricing for both of them. I also need to know if i can edit my site with wordpress if i connect my domain instead of transfering my domain

  I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

  Choosing between transferring and connecting your domain depends on your needs, but the end result for either method is that you will have full access to edit your site using WordPress.com’s powerful tools. Whichever method you choose, your access to the site is the same, and for anyone visiting it, it would appear at it’s custom address, and not a “wordpress.com” address. Here’s a quick rundown:

  1. Domain Connection: Connecting your domain means pointing it to your WordPress.com site while keeping it registered with your current provider. This requires a paid plan (similar to ‘hosting costs’ you would find with other providers) starting at $4/month billed annually. If you manage multiple domains already, and are using just one of them for a site here on WordPress.com, it probably makes sense to leave it there so you can manage all your domains in one place.
  2. Domain Transfer: Transferring your domain to WordPress.com combines domain management and hosting in one place. You will need one of our plans to transfer your domain and connect (all our plans include this option) and if you choose the annual billing option of any plan, it includes a free domain transfer. In addition, once the transfer is complete we add a free year of registration for an added savings
