I published a page title About Me and it won’t show up!

I published a page titled About Me, changed themes, then changed back again and now About Me won’t show up! No matter what I do, it just won’t show up. Do I need to edit it to make this happen?
I’m trying to build a writer’s portfolio and I have to say I find doing this using Word Press extremely confusing. (more about that on different topic.)

Apparently that About Me page comes and goes depending on what theme I’m playing with at the time. Weird. I had to finally just delete it and start all over, though I will tell you that changing themes significantly alters what pages show up or not.
Also, I don’t know how to change the hierarchy of these pages. I tried doing it under Custom Menu –was able to switch the order of the pages by dragging them but when I went to View Blog they had not moved.
RE: Custom Menu, I can’t seem to figure that out either–how it works exactly. I read the tutorial here but it’s not very helpful–they don’t define terms well enough or something. I don’t know why I’m having such a hard time with WP. Thought it was supposed to be easy but I find Typepad a lot easier (I have a blog there.).

Appearance > Menus: have you selected your menu from the dropdown in the “Theme Locations” module?
