I purchased a domain and site through WP and then returned. Can I still use the domain?

Hi hillarysta, when you cancel the domain right after registering, it goes back to the registrar, but will be released after a few days.
If you want to re-buy a plan here, we can work on restoring the domain. Or you can wait a while til it’s released, and buy the domain where you’d like.
Let us know what you prefer.

Thanks so much! I’d actually prefer to use it elsewhere. Will that take 90 days for it to be released?

@hillarysta usually about 5 days from cancellation, so long as you cancel right away. Hoping that helps!

Oh I should note too, if you want to pay for the domain again, you can have it restored here, then immediately point it somewhere else. That’s a good option if you need to hurry. You can transfer the registration after 60 days, too.
Just let us know if you want to go that route.

@hillarysta you’d need to pay for the domain registration here, if you want to restore it here so you can use it sooner. Or you can wait for the 5 days and pay for it elsewhere.
