Hi Sara,
After your purchase you will have been given
a download link for a zip file of your theme.Download it, and note where it is located in your computer.
Once that’s done, follow the steps below:1. Log in to the WordPress Administration Panels.
2. Select the Appearance panel, then Themes.
3. Select Add New.
4. Use the Upload link to upload a zipped copy of a Theme that you have previously downloaded to your machine.Seen here.
In regards to using the WordPress theme
without using WordPress itself:It can be done, but takes way more trouble than it’s worth.
And honestly, you want WordPress.If you have any more questions,
please feel free to contact me anytime.-Chase

@chaserobertson
Nothing you posted is relevant to WordPress.COM blogs. Also note that we are not allowed to post self promoting links and invitations like you did. -
@saradinnell
Please ignore what chaserobertson posted as it does not apply to your blog at http://perfectfitmatch.com/. You cannot use that theme on a WordPress.com hosted blog like yours.The only themes we can use on WordPress.com hosted blogs are licensed and adapted to run on our multiuser software the themes are found here http://wordpress.com/themes/ and in your dashboard at > Appearance > Themes
There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.com blogs for security reasons and we cannot:
upload any third party themes,
create child themes,
create our own themes,
edit templates,
create own own layouts,
or use stylesheets from other themes.Relevant support docs:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/ftp-access/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/adding-new-themes/You cannot upload any third party themes into a WordPress.COM hosted blog so be clear on that. There is no upgrade you can purchase here that changes that reality.
WordPress.org offers free software that you can install on a web server. You can create themes, upload and install themes and plugins, run ads, and edit the database, etc. If you want FTP access and to install plugins or third party themes into a site then you will have to hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting/ and set up your own WordPress.org install.

Oh my goodness I misread, I’m so sorry!
I sound like a blubbering idiot.Thanks for stepping in timethief, I appreciate your advice :)

You’re welcome. Here at WordPress.COM we are very careful not to provide any answers that are relevant to WordPress.ORG installs. That way we do not create confusion.
About 30% of those who post here are posting to the wrong support forum and we do NOT answer their questions. We politely redirect them to the correct support forums like this:
Hi there,
That site is not hosted by WordPress.COM. You are posting to the wrong support forum and we cannot help you.WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support forums. Read the differences here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there.

You’re welcome. I’ve been doing this for over 8 years now so I guess I know a thing or two. ;)

saradinnell – do you need further help or are you all set? The instructions Chase provided will help if you have your own host, but if you’re hosted here on WordPress.com you’ll need to choose from one of the themes we provide, as timethief mentioned above.
Let us know if you’re good to go or whether we can help further.
