  There are two ways in which you can use the domain bought somewhere else on WordPress.com –

  1. Transfer the domain to WordPress.com
  Newly registered domains are transfer locked for the first 60 days and cannot be transferred. If your domain is more than 60 days old, then you can transfer it here. Otherwise, you can map it.

  2. Map the domain

  You will need an upgraded WordPress.com plan on your site to map or transfer a domain.
