A few months ago, I established a new domain and self hosted site at wordpress.org (www.victorivane.com) and purchased the site redirect option. It worked fine until recently but now it’s not redirecting from my old site WP site http://authorvictoriavane.com.

Your domain authorvictoriavane.com expired 86 days ago on October 6, 2013. We attempted to notify you about the domain expiration so you could renew it, but after that enough time lapsed that the domain was sold to a new owner.
Your site redirect is still working and will direct visitors from your free WordPress.com address at http://authorvictoriavane.wordpress.com/ to your self-hosted site at http://www.victoriavane.com. However, since you no longer own the domain authorvictoriavane.com, you can’t redirect visitors who visit that domain.

Hi there,
The site redirect will direct visitors who go to your WordPress.com site to your new site. That will always work for your free WordPress.com address (authorvictoriavane.wordpress.com).
As long as you owned the domain name authorvictoriavane.com and had it linked to your WordPress.com site, the site redirect also worked when someone visited that domain. However, once a domain expires you lose ownership of that domain. That means it stops working with your site and it can be sold to a new owner.
