I received a request from wordpress to ‘please moderate’ a fact-checked article
-
Recently I received this request from my fine site ‘WordPress’ WordPress
To:
(email visible only to moderators and staff) ‘[singaporeathlete] Please moderate: ‘Sam Goldberg vs. Volker Herrmann: Comparing results in Southeast Asia’
I am not sure how to accomodate this request as this article as does every article posted on my WordPress site, is fully fact-based, fact-checked and is accompanied by full and comprehensive footnoting allowing any reader to review every entry. I am sorry this effort to fact-check my entries may put either subject of this or any article I have posted in a ‘less-than-favorable’ light. As a result, I am not sure how ‘moderate’ the facts? Perhaps who ever has requested my platform to ask me to ‘moderate’ my findings, might contact me directly to either place a reply or to engage in an open and friendly debate. -
Hi there,
That email does not refer to the content on your site. It refers to a comment that someone left on your article that is being held back for moderation by you, the site owner. In other words, someone left a comment, but that comment won’t appear on your site for other people to see until you approve it.
Go to My Sites ->Switch Site, and select the site for which you received that notification. Then click on Site ->Comments. You should see an indicator there for any comments that are awaiting approval.
You should also be able to approve the comment directly from the notifications area that appears if you click the bell icon top-right of the screen.
