I received an invitation to Administer a site & was asked to set-up my own account.
-
I received an invitation (because I set myself up as Administrator on a webpage that I am building on behalf of someone else) to administer a new website. It says that to accept the invitation I need to ‘Signup for a WordPress.com account then Accept Invitation.’
I have accepted the invitation but do not appear in ‘Users’ on the dashboard and when I click through the ‘Sign up for a WordPress account’ it takes me straight through to the page that I’m building. So, do I need my own personal account or not? If so, how do I do it? Do I have to pay for it? I am also Administrator on another website but was never invited to do so or was asked to set-up an account. Please advise how to proceed so that I can get my own log-in to administer this site if necessary. -
to be accepted into a site to make edits, write etc – yes you do need a WordPress.COM account – it does not need to be a special account – your normal account – madcowth – should be fine
no it does not cost anything – all you need is an email address – everything else is optional
