I received no link to delete my blog

I have went into my Tools and delete blog several times. I get a screen that states I will receive a link in my email to delete the blog. I have never received that link. I have done this process 5 times and no link in my email. How long does it take to get the link? Why?

Is the URL of the blog you want to delete http://thehrm.wordpress.com/ ? If not please post the URL here. Then check in your email client spam/ junk mail filter as well as your “social” tab in Gmail, if you use it. I’ll tag this thread for a Staff follow-up. Thank you timethief. I was able to read your post so I did login to my email on record. Still no link to delete. This blog was from 2009 and I wonder if the process has changed. I read somewhere you cant delete an account but you can delete the files? I just want to end this blog now. I will do the process again in wordpress, the 10th times.

You must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account and the exact same associated email address that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard.

Thanks timethief for all your help. I can get into my dashboard and do all the steps but still no link sent to my email. I did see my visible blogs and I am the administrator. I had been trying to do this for years and gave up. But now I need to delete the blog because the blog has over 2300 hits because of ranking with search engine. My website, http://www.thehrm.org is not getting the hits. The blog has old information and I need it down ASAP. I am trying this again after 6 years. I followed support and created another email with the same user name so I can get into the blog. I am in but this delete blog is not working. Support must be on auto pilot because I just need someone to send the darn link so I can delete this blog today.

As I noted above I tagged this thread for Staff help. Staff work through all forum threads tagged for their attention and through all email support tickets in chronological order based on datestamps and timestamps – first posted first served, as would be expected.
How long it takes to clear the threads and support tickets depends on how many Happiness Engineers are working on them at any given point in time. It also depends on how complex the issues in each thread and ticket are are.
Please don’t bump your thread by posting into it again because it’s not in your best interest to post to it after it has been tagged for Staff help. Doing that moves the timestamps forward and it takes longer to get a response.
