I registered langetheory.com but my blog is not linked to that

I registered langetheory.com but my blog is not linked to that. I paid for the domain name langetheory.com and yet I get langetheorydotcom.wordpress.com. Ican’t find a way of changing it.

http://langetheory.com/ is linked to the blog langetheroy1.wordpress.com but this is the only blog on the account that purchased the domain name, which is not mlanges.

Sorry I don’t understand that. If I go to the address langetheory.com it takes me to my blog site but it does not appear to be the blog I set up which is now langetheorydotcom.wordpress.com. On the langetheory.com site if I click on about the avatar that appears is mlanges which is me. I am confused. When I originally set this blog up I bought the domain name right at the beginning and started working on the blog. Please help??

Yes, when you purchased the domain, it was linked up to langetheory1.wordpress.com.
The two are one and the same, but think of langetheory.com as a fancy set of clothes for langetheory1.wordpress.com.
I could move this domain for you, but mlanges is not the user who purchased the domain (which is probably why you can’t see the other blog). I would need to be contacted by the user who purchased the domain.

Are you able to help? Who is linked to the name langetheory.com? Is it langetheoryav? I am wondering if maybe I registered langetheory under the name langetheoryav as I was having trouble even then.

langetheory1.wordpress.com is the blog that is linked to langetheory.com. It was registered and purchased by langetheoryav as you mentioned.

OK so this means I’m totally stuck. I can’t log in as langetheoryav, it simply takes me to mlanges and for the life of me I can’t recall the email address I used to set langetheoryav or langetheory1. Where does that leave me? I can access my paypal account and send you a reference for the payment? Or are there security questions I can answer? Cheers

The trouble with this request is that we don’t make changes to accounts if you contact us from a different account. For anyone else who sees this thread, please contact support from the account or email address on the account used to make the upgrade purchase and then we can help you.
@mlanges, I have sent an email directly to the address on file for the langetheoryav account to see if I can help you that way.

I am still confounded. Can you at least tell me which email account was linked to langetheoryav . That way I can at least work out where I have gone wrong!!!!
