I registered wrong domain name! TYPO !!

    hi, I just registered a blog domain- imperfectparenthhood.com. I noticed afterwards that it has an extra H !! Was meant to be imperfectparenthood.com – I’ve tried to figure out how to change it put to no avail :( PLEASE HELP! My email is- (email visible only to moderators and staff) mobile- 0421878292.

    Howdy,

    I just cancelled the mistyped domain name and restored your domain credit, this means you can go into your Dashboard > My Store > My Domains and register a new domain.

    Let me know if you run into any trouble.

    hi Diegoe,

    I did as instructed and the old domain name still appears on my account? says it expires May 7 2015. So is it still active??

    I also had a domain name that I already owned so I added that. I received an email saying I’d purchased it….

    Not sure where to find where my credit is so I can see what is happening with my account??? (sorry for being a bit green but Im very new to all this!)

    Hi Jade,

    I’m sorry about the confusion, while removing the misspelled domain I forgot to update your My Domains panel. It should be gone now.

    I see that you added another domain to your blog as well: imperfectparenthood.com.au.

    Would you like to use that address and imperfectparenthood.com for your blog?

    To have both of the domains, it will cost an extra $13/yr.

    Let me know and I’ll help you get both domains connected to your account, or just the first one.

    No probs at all! Thanks for clearing it up :)

    I already own – imperfectparenthood.com.au so was going to use it, just didn’t know how initially and when I saw that imperfectparenthood.com was available I thought I’d snap that up as well. It was only afterwards that I realised id added an extra ‘H’ so I’m not sure that imperfectparenthood.com is available??? If it is, I’ll use it. If not pls let me know what my options are- whether I can use the one I own or whether I need to purchase another.

    Hi Jade,

    It looks like imperfectparenthood.com is already owned by someone. Take a look here if you are curious: http://www.networksolutions.com/whois/results.jsp?domain=imperfectparenthood.com

    Your Premium bundle comes with either a domain mapping, or a domain registration. Right now you have a domain mapping active.

    If you want to map or register another domain name we can either remove the current mapping, or you can add a separate upgrade, which would cost you an additional fee.

    Currently your mapping is configured to use the domain imperfectparenthood.com.au.

    If you want to use that domain name for your site, I can help you finish setting it up.

    Hi again!

    Great, let’s configure imperfectparenthood.com.au then!

    First of all you’ll have to configure the domain to point to WordPress.com Name Servers. To do that, you’ll have to go to the website where you registered that domain (seems like it was Crazy Domains AU?) and log into your configuration or management panel and make sure the Name Servers for your domain are the following 3 values: 

    NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

    Save the changes, and let me know so I can check if everything is fine.

    Awesome! Everything is working :-).

    The last step is to make your domain name the “Primary Domain” for your site. To do that, you have to go to Dashboard > Store > My Domains and select your imperfectparenthood.com.au domain as the Primary one:
    https://imperfectparenthhood.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains

    Save the changes, and in a few minutes your site will use your domain name as its primary address.
