I request access to full backup of sites not just XML export

To whom it may concern, I would like to have access to the full backup media, drafts, posts, etc… of the following sites TheKnowledgeHounds.Home.Blog and TheKnowledgeCub.Wordpress.com and not just the export. Both of the sites have been on WordPress for nearly two years with no issue and used solely as an online knowledgebase for myself and students to find content to help understand and assist in resolving I.T. issues. All content on the site was attributed to the relevant providers so that the students would visit the source to assist with their learning and search skills. No new content has been provided for either site since April 2020 due to circumstances. A week ago I was notified by an ex student now working that the TheKnowledgeHounds.Home.Blog that they have been using while working was suspended, I contacted support and was told that it was suspended because it was flagged for breaching terms and conditions, I received no prior email warning of the pending suspension and was not sent a specific reason as to why the site was suspended after being live for 2 years with no update for a year, even though I asked. This is the kicker, I notified whomever that TheKnowledgeCub.Wordpress.Com which is a site focused on I.T. for children, young adults and parents which can be accessed from the TheKnowledgeHounds.Home.Blog website was no different than the main site and what do you know they immediately suspended that site; only 1000 views, I am not soliciting or advertising I am simply using both sites as a knowledge base and acknowledging the content of sites as stated on their website and every page states that if the content is to be removed then it will if contacted; I have never received a request to remove content from either site. The very fact that you have suspended sites that are specific to the gathering of information as a knowledge base resource to assist in the learning of all things I.T. for everyone is just ridiculous. If you are going to stand by your decision to suspend TheKnowledgeHounds.Home.Blog and TheKnowledgeCub.Wordpress.com I would like access to the full backup of the sites not just the XML export as that is no use to the students that use the site. I will provide them with a copy of the backups so they can keep a local copy of the sites for their own personal reference and host it locally to learn all things WordPress. It would be very much appreciated as this just seems a little bit odd and draconian that only now after two years being online and 1 year without update they are both suspended without prior notice, as stated on your email. Kind regards,

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

Suspended sites are never discussed on this public forum. As very clearly indicated on your site, you must contact the TOS-team at http://en.support.wordpress.com/suspended-blogs/

Regarding the export of your site(s), wordpress.com is a shared platform, there are no real files. But once your sites got unsuspended, you can export an xml-file and import that file into a site using the open source wordpress.org.

  • Hi there,

I see that you have already contacted our Terms of Service team therefore I’m closing this thread as we cannot discuss site suspensions in the forum.
