I scheduled a blog for next week 3/16 and it showed up on facebook and sent out emails but it shows

  I scheduled a post for the 16th but it sent out emails and posted to facebook tonight. I went on my dashboard and it says it is scheduled, not posted. what happened????

  I’m sorry that scheduling didn’t work correctly! Can you tell me the title of the post you scheduled and/or send me a link to that scheduled post? That will help me investigate what happened here.

  Thanks Rachel. Here is what I think I discovered. Please confirm if I am right. I was “editing” my blog and did NOT know that it would change the schedule time/date. Without knowing it changed to Dec 1969 so it published it without my knowing hours later. Meanwhile I confirmed the March 16th date. Why it did not post to my site but sent out emails, posted to LINKEDIN and Facebook, etc I don’t know. Can that happen??? The site is ritamayell.com

  I had feedback and it was confusing so I went ahead and posted to my site.. Thanks for your insight. I am really still kind of stumped.

  Hi Rita,

  You mentioned you were “editing” your blog — can you describe the exact steps you did to start editing it? That will help me understand the steps that led up to the problem with your scheduled post.

  I clicked edit on the post and made changes. I was having issues with loading the pictures…. then I hit update. What I had not noticed was that when I did a different scheduled date appeared. Not sure why it did nor reverted to a 1969 date…

  Thanks, Rita. That does help!

  We’ve had some reports of a similar problem when you click “Edit” on the post after scheduling it. We reported the issue to our developers, and I just added your report there, but I’m not sure how soon our team will be able to fix that issue.

  In the meantime, instead of clicking “Edit” on the post itself, if you need to make changes I’d recommend going directly to your list of posts in the dashboard and clicking the “Edit” link to edit your post that way. That should allow you to update the scheduled post without sending it out to LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.

  If this happens again, even when you edit the post that way, please let me know!
