    Hello, I see a pending charge in my banking. I delted my account a few months ago. I was surprised I was able to log in today to see what was going on. I would like to close this account and be refunded. What is the process?

    Hi there:

    I don’t see a recent charge on your account – the last charge was on February 1st for the domain renewal of gatewaytohappy.blog so that should have gone through already and not be pending on your account.

    It also looks like you deleted the blog that domain was tied to on February 24th. Since your domain had already renewed and the 96 hour refund window had passed, that’s why you didn’t receive a refund there. New domain registrations and renewals must be canceled within 96 hours to receive a refund. You can learn more about our refund policy here:

    If you have a more recent transaction than the one mentioned above, if you enter the charge details at https://wpchrg.wordpress.com/ we should be able to help you with this.

    Oh! I forgot to answer your “close this account” question. :)

    To close your WordPress.com account, you need to go through the account closure process on your own. This is not something we can do for you.

    You can follow the steps here:

    Delete your account

    Note: This not only shuts down your username, it deletes all the sites associated with your WordPress.com account and all their contents. After a few weeks, this data will be entirely purged from WordPress.com’s servers and the process cannot be reversed. Therefore, please be certain you want to cancel your entire WordPress.com presence before proceeding.
