I seem to have a have a 'spare' domain name (?)

    Hi –

    1) I was looking at ways of removing ads from some free sites I maintain, hoping to find a ‘multisite plan’ that would be more cost effective than upgrading each site individually. Reading various threads here on the forum that no longer seems possible (I’m sure this was an option several years ago). Please confirm if this is correct, and IF there is a ‘multisite’ plan can you direct me to the details.

    2) Annoyingly I can no longer find the page, but while looking for the above I saw that I appear to have an unused ‘free’ domain – perhaps the result of an upgrade (I upgraded a premium site to a business site). Can you confirm this (or tell me where to find the information again!) and, if correct, how can I apply the unused domain credit to the business site so I have the domain ‘free’ for a further year (until Sept 2021 rather than 2020)?

    3) Finally, if the domain cannot be used against another year on the business site can I use it for a free site, and will doing so remove ads?

    Let me answer your questions one by one :)

    Each site will require its own plan. You can have more than one domain on every plan, however, if you have various independent sites, they will need separate plans.

    Can you confirm this (or tell me where to find the information again!) and, if correct, how can I apply the unused domain credit to the business site so I have the domain ‘free’ for a further year (until Sept 2021 rather than 2020)?

    Every paid plan gives you credit to register a custom domain for free during the first year.
    From what I see, you have already used that credit for your domain so any other that you’d like to add will have an additional cost.

    Even if you had a free credit for a domain, you’d only be able to use it on the site with the subscription (not upgrading another of your sites).
    Also, adding a custom domain wouldn’t remove the ads, you’d need to add a plan for that.
