I seem to have an account, all is well, but I can't sign in with my password…

michaeljmcfadden is my username. It appears to be there. I have a profile page, but when I try to sign in at http://www.louisianaweekly.com/wp-login.php it doesn’t accept my username and password and gives me an ‘Invalid Username’ message. If I click ‘get a new password’ and enter my email address at (email visible only to moderators and staff) I get a message that there is no user associated with that address.
I’ve been a WP member through (email visible only to moderators and staff) and, previously, through (email visible only to moderators and staff) for a good number of years and have posted hundreds (thousands?) of WP messages without a problem. I *still* sign in just fine to some other sites, e.g. https://underdogsbiteupwards.wordpress.com
Can you tell me what the problem might be?

It seems to me that http://www.louisianaweekly.com/ is a self-hosted WordPress.org website and it might be that you are using different username and password for it.
If you connected it to your WordPress.com account by using Jetpack, just log into WordPress.com and go into My Sites and try to switch to it. If however, you didn’t connect it, I suggest posting a thread on WordPress.org forums or pinging your hosting provider in order to get to the bottom of this issue:

I notice a msg below my post that says “The blog I need help with is socialimpactsurvey.wordpress.com” which is not actually true. While that blog is there, it’s from a friend who was doing a survey a couple of years ago and is not one I’ve done anything with in quite a while.
