I seem to have lost 48 followers for no apparent reason in one day. Help?

I made some changes to my page yesterday and found over the space of a couple of hours that my followers had dropped from 155 to 107. Could this have been caused by something I did or some other technical hiccupp? Can you please help? http://www.triciawoods.com.au

Hi there,
Your followers totals will include any followers that you have through social media, connected via Publicize. I took a look and I saw you have quite a few Facebook followers, but I don’t see anything connected through Twitter. Is it possible that your Twitter account got disconnected?

Hello and thanks for the reply. I don’t have a Twitter account so I didn’t have any Twitter followers. Any other suggestions please?

Hi there! @amightywp is out today, so I’ll be taking over assisting you.
We do periodically remove spam accounts from WordPress.com, which could explain some loss in followers. But ultimately, it’s up to the user whether or not they want to follow a blog – and if you made some changes, it’s possible that group of users didn’t want to follow after those changes were made. It’s hard to predict and know what individual users will do!
I double-checked your account and everything seems to be working properly, so there wasn’t a glitch or hiccup that I could see that would cause the drop in followers.
