I set up second blog but the add to blogroll keeps putting in 1st one?

I’ve set up a second blog under the same account, when I use the add to blogroll function it always uses the 1st site,I’d really like to use the feature primarily for my second site. Any way to do? I’ve tried to get on my second site and then surf from there and “add” but it keeps going to the 1st???

Well I have absolutely no idea (and obviously neither does anyone else) but I’ll take a shot in the dark.
Go to users > your profile and set “primary blog” to the one second one, click “update profile” to save the change and then try the “add to blogroll” and see if it puts it on the second blog.

You need to make sure you are in the correct blog when you are editing–the dashboards will look identical. At the top left of the dashboard, when you click on the name of the blog, it will turn into a pull down with the name of your second blog.
If you select the second one, that will put you in its dashboard for editing.

If that doesn’t work, does anyone else have a suggestion. I have one blog and created a second. Now every time I try to post to the first blog, I get the second only. No pulldown choice. No instructions. Please help!

I also cannot fix the time of day, so even though it is 7:20 p.m., my posts show up as being written at 12:20 a.m. Any suggestions?

tsp is right. The “Add to Blogroll” function adds it to your primary blog, which is also the one linked to your name.
rochelleriley, are you trying to add a blog to your blogroll or make a blog post? Also, what are the URLs of each blog, starting with http? The time is different because WordPress.com automatically sets the time according to Greenwich time, so if you want your time to be different you’ll have to add or subtract hours accordingly on your Options.

The second is http://rochelleriley.wordpress.com/No matter how I try to get to the first one, the second keeps coming up with no option to get to the second one. I’d like to post on the first one.
I went onto the options page to change the time, but I can’t figure out pm. Thanks so much for helping!

rochelleriley – since your example uses a 5 hour time difference I will assume you are in EST. If so, go to your dashboard, choose options. On the screen you see, scroll down to date and time. Enter -5 in time difference. That should clear it up, AM or PM.

THANK YOU! Any idea how I can post on the second of the two blogs I’ve created. Every time I try to post to the first, only the second comes up. It exists on the Web, but I can’t get to it. R

You’re welcome. Are both blogs under the same user name? If so and if the 2nd isn’t showing up on your list, have you tried logging out, then logging in to only the 2nd — until this is sorted out?

I tried, but it let me log on both times using the same user name. Weird. I’ll try to change the user name for the first one. Thanks so much! R

Good luck, but I don’t think you’ll able to change that user name. I think you need to contact support on Monday.
