I signed up a .org

  It is taking forever for my blog to load. If that’s the way it’s going to be, this is not going to work for me. I signed on as a .org and now I’m thinking that a .com would be better as I think the .org is conflicting with my web page. The only way I am able to access my blog is to clear history and cookies every time I want to check in and that is not acceptable to me. Please advise before I go any further with this.

  Clearing one’s browser cache and cookies is standard practice. It’s required for switching usernames and logins. Most of us have our browsers set up to automatically clear our browser cache and cookies every time we log off the internet. That’s why I’m not clear what your issue is.

  I just yesterday switched from IE8 to Firefox and the day before started setting up a blog for the first time so I’m on a steep and quite frustrating learning curve right now. I have a web page and I guess, being I’m old and senile and mainly not very smart, thought it might be nice to use the same name for the blog only with a .org instead of a .com. Well, I think that confused the heck out of old Bill Gates or somebody because the blog simply took a long, long time to load. 42 minutes one time and 54 minutes another and this time however long the time was between me being notified of your response, which I do appreciate by the way, and now. But, I have now changed the primary away from .org and I think I might have solved the problem.

  Next question. If you clear your cache and cookies each time you log off the internet, are you saying that you log in to each web site you visit. For instance, I have our web site, I have a Scottrade account, I have a VA account, I have a social security account and several others. I’m wondering why one would “remember me” on a web site then.

  Again, thanks for your response. Sorry I’m such a pain.
