I just started a new free blog today and this is the message I get when trying to access the dashboard after logging in:

User (username) Cannot Access the Dashboard Requested

You are logged in as “(username)” and do not not have the necessary privileges to access the dashboard for “Tickle The Air”. If you are not “(username)”, please log out, and log back in with your username. If you are “(username)” and you need access, please ask an administrator of the site to invite you.

But I set up the site and should be the site administer right?

I don’t understand why I can’t access a site I just set up. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I started a blog on May 15, 2011, and have published weekly posts since then. Yet this morning I received the same message that I am denied access to the dashboard. Although I can access the dashboard by clicking on the link at the borrom of the message, I do not want to have to do so every time I visit my own site. Can you tell me what to do to regain free access to my own blog and dashboard?

I can’t access my dashboard at all. I’m locked out of the dashboard all together yet I’m the one who created the blog. I haven’t even made my first post. So I’m afraid I’m not help to you. Hopefully a moderator will help us out soon.

    I’m also getting the

User (username) Cannot Access the Dashboard Requested

    message.

I can get to the dashboard by clicking the Visit Dashboard link, but why does this message keep coming up even after I log out and clear the cache, cookies, history etc? I’m so confused. Anyone got a solution? thanks.

@justonwriter: Did your visit that got the error message go directly to the same exact URL that the Visit Dashboard link goes to?

    No.

So far I’ve used the following URLs to login:

    http://wordpress.com/wp-login.php

    https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php

both of them send me here:

    https://wordpress.com/wp-admin/?_wpnonce=5beeeea5af

which is the Visit Dashboard page, then I click on Visit Dashboard and end up at my dashboard.

    I saw the same message.

I found the solution on another WordPress support page where other people were having the same problem.

    The solution:

Put your blog name where I’ve written “(—–put your blog name here——)” and

login at https://(—–put your blog name here——).wordpress.com/wp-admin/

I replaced my old login bookmark with the new one and everything works fine now.

The solution can be found on this page:

Success! Thank you, edwardschlesinger. I’ve changed my bookmark and now everything works as it should.
