I started a second blog but can only author under my first blog's author.

  I want two completely separate blogs with wordpress.com. I have a work blog, buckinghamvintage.wordpress.com, and set up a 2nd blog, myname.wordpress.com. I can only author posts as buckinghamvintage on both blogs.

  I want them to have completely separate authors, identities and gravatars and not be linked in any way. Is this possible?

  I want to keep both of the names as one is my name and one is my work name. I don’t want to lose either of them but don’t want to have them linked.

  How can I unlink them and publish posts on myname.wordpress.com blog under my own name?

  I hope I do not have to choose one or the other.

  The requires a separate account, with a different email address. But you’ll have to transfer the real name author blog now that it’s been created in the work name account (see below).

  After creating the separate account, you may transfer the blog from one account to the other as described in the “Transferring Your Blog to Another WordPress.com User or Account” section of the Moving a Blog support page.

  Thank you.

  I tried to do this but I can’t use my name as a user name on a new account because it is in use on the blog. How can I match the user name and the blog name and address?
  I had user name A and blog A.wordpress.com
  I added B.wordpress.com to the same account

  What i would like is another account with the user name A and blog name A.wordpress.com

  Is this possible? I can find instructions for almost everything except creating a new account with a user name to match an existing blog and transferring the existing blog into the that user account.

  Should I create a new account, transferthe blog into that account and then try to change the user name to match the blog? Would that work?
  Any help would be very welcome!

  Hi. Yes, I understand the situation now, and see that it’s a bit more tricky than I’d thought.

  Yes. It seems like it ought to work once the blog is in the account you want to match its name with.

  Would that work?

  It seems like it should work, though there might be some catch we haven’t foreseen. However, I’m quite sure that Staff would assist you, if necessary. You may either try the suggestion you’ve made, and come back for further assistance if you run into a snag, or request Staff assistance before you make the attempt by adding a “modlook” tag to the sidebar here, and then wait for one of them to respond.
