  Yes, you can use WordPress.com to edit your site. You can do so by importing your Hostgator.com site to your WordPress site. You can learn more about the importing process here: https://wordpress.com/support/import/import-a-sites-content.

  You can also transfer your existing domain to the WordPress.com site by following the steps mentioned in the guide here: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/incoming-domain-transfer/.
