I still cannot post in tag "poems" from my https://psychpoet.wordpress.com/ blog

Hi there,
It seems that at some point you must have had a category titled Poems, as the URL for the tag on your site was using “poems-2” instead of “poems”. I updated that, and the posts on your site now shows up at https://psychpoet.wordpress.com/tag/poems/, and they should also start showing up under the Poems tag in the Reader now, though that might only update with the next post you publish.
If you publish the next post with that tag and it doesn’t show up under the tag listing in the Reader, please let me know.

Yeah, it’s not possible to have the same URL slug for both a category and a tag permalink. This is part of WordPress Core, and I have no idea why it works that way. I just know it does :)
Most likely it’s to discourage using the same term as category and tag on the same post, which I’ve read can actually be negative for SEO purposes.

Thanks for you dedication to solving this issue. Like you said, it has been ongoing since I opened this blog. I don’t have to time to make a new post just today but will in the not too distant future. I’ts a busy week for me this week so please have patience. As soon as I do, I will let you know. Is there anything I need to be doing to make sure it works this time?

I’m not sure I understand about the category part. I think you’re referring to how it’s categorized and filed on my blog itself. I didn’t have any part of setting that up. Perhaps I should have but my other blogs worked without any setup regarding that from the beginning and worked. Perhaps I got lucky with them.

Just make sure you add the “poems” tag when creating the post. I’d suggest start typing, and then select the tag that should appear in the autocomplete list.

Yes that is what I’ve always done. I will try to post something soon to check it out.

I have just run a “test” post using four different tags. Poems, Poetry, Creative Writing, Writing. It showed up in all four pages in all four scrolls! Including the one I had trouble with “Poems.” I will now delete the test post so as to not impose it on others. I would like to thank everyone who participated in this thread and helped to resolve this issue.
Thank you all. I will let you know if anything changes down in the future.
