I still haven't received my refund for a cancelled domain

From the very start, I had issues setting up my account. The first time I set up my domain I spelled it “texastidbit.com,” but quickly realized I misspelled it (it was singular, not plural). I couldn’t figure out to simply change the domain, forum name, etc., so I cancelled the 1st account & created a new account under “texastidbits.com.” *Please reference my “How do I edit DNS?” forum post on Dec 24, 2012, at 1:00 AM.

Now the real frustrations begin… Even though I paid for this 2nd domain, it turns out it was already taken! I had to cancel my domain again and created a new account under “tidbitsoftexas.com.” All of this happened in about 5 hours, well within the 48 hour period that you have to cancel. “My Upgrades” in the wordpress store even listed both accounts as pending cancellation. However, I received this message when I logged in today:
“Domain products can be refunded only within 48 hours of original purchase. This product was purchased 3 days ago and so is not eligible.”

I began this process on Dec 23, 2012 at 8:50 PM and concluded on Dec 24, 2012 at 2:07 and have the e-mails to prove this fact. Like I stated above, I cancelled well within my 48 hour window. So why am I being denied my refunds?

I flagged this for staff attention to help you

  • Hi there,

I’ll be happy to complete these refunds for you. Please confirm exactly which domains you want cancelled – I think I run the risk of deleting the wrong items without more clarification.

    Cheers!

auxclass – Thanks for the flag. I didn’t even know that was possible. Is that something I can do myself in case I have issues in the future?

zandyring – Thank you so much for understanding & assisting with the refund. I would like to cancel “texastidbit.com” & “texastidbits.com.” My current blog/domain, “tidbitsoftexas.com,” works great and I am very happy with it.

  • I have taken care of this for you.

It can take up to a week for the refunds to appear back in your account.

    Happy 2013!
