I stuffed up my username. Please help me internet gods.

Hello pets. I had a fantastic wordpress blog called ivegotball.com. My username was ivegotball. I was happy and life was sweet.
Stupidly, I went to start another one and changed the username.
Now when i log in, ivegotball has disappeared. I cannot access the ivegotball dashboard, and all my other blogs have disappeared. All of them.
Please internet gods, i just want my ivegotball username back. Or at least the dashboard. PLEASE. WHAT HAVE I DONE ??!!!!!

Here is a log-in – probably use your old username – add them “meta” widget to get a log-in on the front page – the blog account can be combined or one user can be added to the other account.
Sorry have misplaced the instructions for the other things but this should get you started.

thankyou auxclass, that has not worked, back at square one. please tell me there is a way to reinstate my old username and have everything go back to normal?

You old site is still alive so it is just a matter of getting in – sorry it is too early for me to think clearly but there are a couple of others that usually show up to help in the forum in a while and they do better on this subject than I.
Yes it is possible to combine and get back to using your old name – the worst case is you might need a bit of help from the staff if others can’t help. Your blog content and blog is safe –

If blog is alive, dashboard should also be there. Try these 3 ways to reach to your dashboards:
Try accessing http://ivegotball.wordpress.com/wp-admin/ with your new username and password (that you use on wp.com now).Go to wordpress.com and login using your username and password. And then click on “My Blogs” tab on WordPress.COM homepage or “Blogs” tab on grey admin bar. Take your mouse to “I’ve Got Ball” >Dashboard to access the dashboard.
Open global dashboard http://dashboard.wordpress.com and click on “My Blogs”.

There is not a way to reinstate an old username once it has been changed with the name change tool. You can update the display name so it appears how you want on posts and pages though: http://en.support.wordpress.com/change-your-username/#change-display-name-nickname

When I click on this:http://ivegotball.wordpress.com/wp-admin/ it re-loads to http://www.theamandablair.wordpress.com and says ‘no longer available..the authors have deleted this blog”.
True. I did delete it….but not ivegotball.com!
The grey admin bar has no options for accessing any blogs. It only has “register a new blog”.
Oh dear oh dear. Thankyou all so much for taking the time to try and help so far! It’s beyond nice. I hope wordpress god’s see this.
