I think I disconnected from WordPress.com?
-
I recently switched to self-hosting but I have my domain (avevalencia.net) at a different company redirecting it to the host URL (avevalencianet.ipage.com) and masking it.
I am also redirecting my site avevalencia.wordpress.com to my domain: avevalencia.net.
When I go to “General Settings” in my admin panel, by “WordPress Address (URL)” I had typed my domain: avevalencia.net
By “Site Address (URL)” I had typed my host address: avevalencianet.ipage.com.
It was already connected to WordPress.com, a happiness engineer had moved all my subscribers and I could see the black bar at the top of the page.
But when I tried to preview a post, the preview wasn’t working.
I read on wordpress.org that for the preview to work, the wordpress address url had to match the site address url, so I changed the wordpress address url to avevalencianet.ipage.com.
The previews work now but I think I disconnected my site from WordPress.com along with all my followers.
When I search for the tags on my post, they don’t show up and neither does the black bar at the top of the page.
I changed the “WordPress Address (URL)” field back to avevalencia.net but I still appear to be disconnected from wordpress.com
But in Jetpack it says I’m connected.
What can I do to reconnect? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
