I’ve been trying to move my domain and hosting to another site, from Bluehost to Hostgator, and in the process, I think I lost my website. I’m not sure what to do and I’m a little bit terrified.

Hello @ackermankristina,
The domain is currently pointing to hostgator. Please login to your Hostgator dashboard and change the name server values of your domain to these:NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
NS3.WORDPRESS.COMThis will point the domain to your WordPress.COM site.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are not comfortable doing this by yourself then please ask your domain provider(Hostgator) to do it.
Also, you will need a paid wordpress.com plan to be able to point the domain to your wordpress.com site. So please upgrade your account if you haven’t.
Read more about it here:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/If the nameservers do not work, and the provider requires that you create custom DNS records, then you will need staff assistance for that.
So, to reach staff you can tag this question with the modlook tag on the Tags section of the sidebar.
Read about the modlook tag here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question
Hope this helps 🙂

Aha… I see that you used the modlook tag after all, please be patient… someone from the staff will be here to assist your soon.
Thanks! 🙂
