i think i might need to pay for my domain? my website isn't findable on google

    I have a domain for my website which is http://www.elvireroux.com, I had some change done as i am also using square space as it is much simple for me to use. I thought i didn’t have to pay anything anymore to wordpress domain but i might have been in the wrong as now my website isn’t up on google. Is there anyway to correct this asap? i would like my website to be back on as soon as possible. Could you perhaps send a link for me to do payment and sort this out ? I look forward to be hearing some help, many thanks

    Hi there,

    Your domain expired on October 29, 2016. It has now entered the Redemption period. This means the domain name can still be renewed, but there is an $80.00 redemption fee required in addition to the normal renewal cost.

    Hi there,

    @fstat is right. Although your site is hosted elsewhere, your domain was still hosted with us. I checked with our registrar and elvireroux.com is now indeed in a redemption period. You can still renew your domain through us, but it is now a more expensive and complicated process to do so. Our registrar charges an $80 late renewal fee in addition to the $26 we charge to renew the domain. The good news is that this is still a chance of reclaiming the domain through this option.

    Your other option is to wait until the redemption period is over so that the domain becomes available for registration again. Domains are usually in redemption for approximately 80 days, but with this option, you run
    the risk of someone else jumping in front of you to purchase the domain before you get the chance.

    Please let me know if you want to proceed with paying the late renewal fee in the attempt to reclaim the domain name. This option is also time sensitive because the domain can be auctioned off to an expired domain bidder.

    I would suggest enabling the auto-renew option so that you will not have to worry about losing control over your domain in the future.
