Hi there,
To better understand what you are mean by debugging, can you give me a little more background information?
– What changed specifically?
– Is there a link to an affected page/post, or is it your whole site that is affected?
– Were you doing anything (even if it seems unrelated) prior to this problem, or is it something you noticed just when you happened to visit?Any additional details you can provide would be a great help.

i had approved a comment which wasn’t caught as spam (though the wording of the message was kind of weird). I have since trashed it. But I almost always go to ping-o-matic after a new post, but this time it kept giving me a “no blog URL?” message.
Thanks.

Where are you seeing this message? Is there a link I can go to to see it for myself? If not, can you take a screenshot of it (which you can upload to your site’s Media Library so I can take a look at it there) or tell me what the error message says?
Thanks for the additional info!

I see the message on the pingomatic site.
I also tried using a different ping site. I’ll try it again and give you the details on it. It was more descriptive.

Hi there!
Do you have a URL that we can test that is failing at pingomatic for you please?
I’ve not personally used “Ping My URL” so I cannot say whether it is legit or not.
Pingomatic is built into WordPress.com so there is no need to use that service for your WordPress.com blog posts. We automatically notify Google when you have published a new blog post.
You can read more about how WordPress.com deals with search engines and SEO here:
