I think I’m setup incorrectly

I think I’ve done something wrong in my Blog setup. Either that or I don’t understand who all this works. Probably both.
When anyone goes to the link for my blog, which I have made available to the public, they can access my dashboard. That’s not supposed to be how it works, is it?Please set me straight

No they cannot. Only you can. Try logging out and see.
And please paste the exact URL of your blog when asking questions here, or link your nickname to your blog (as explained in the Sticky 8 Things to Know Before Posting).

Thank you for your reply. I’ll try it, although I thought I had.
As for pasting the URL, although I’m aware of the need for pasting it when asking questions, when I initiated the thread, there was a box above the text box that asked what blog the question would refer to. It was auto-filled with my blog address. Consequently, I felt it had been done.

O.K. Now I’ve tried it. I’m still seeing “My Dashboard” in the menu bar of the blog, which I can open. It seems that anyone else can as well.
In the meantime, I have linked my nickname. Thanks for the heads-up.

Ah yes… Unfortunately they designed that feature so that you only get an auto-response if you have a wp.ORG blog or if you don’t fill in the blog URL. It doesn’t show up in the thread as well, although it should (to help us poor volunteers)…
