I think I’ve been hacked.

    Hi. I think I may have been hacked or something. Often times when people try to go to my site they are redirected to a spammy site of some sort. I have no idea how to determine if this is from being hacked and/or what to do about it. Thanks in advance!

    Hi twobrothersblankets,

    Your website is hosted with GoDaddy and not on WordPress.com. Your website is using the open source WordPress software found on WordPress.org.

    We’re able to help only with websites hosted on WordPress.com.

    To clear up any confusion, there are 2 versions of WordPress. WordPress.com is a managed environment different from using the open source WordPress installation.

    WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two, different entities: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    You could look in WordPress.org forum; perhaps someone there has experienced something similar.

    You’ll need a free WordPress.org account to post – if you don’t already have one, you can register here.

    You could also just with GoDaddy support whether your website is hacked or not.
