I think my site might have gotten hacked

    REceived the following email about a new email registered to my website

    WordPress (email visible only to moderators and staff) via p3nlhg866.shr.prod.phx3.secureserver.net

    11:53 PM (7 hours ago)

    New user registration on your site PROTO PLANNING TRAVEL AGENCY:

    Username: Edcre23ne

    E-mail: (email visible only to moderators and staff)

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Do you have additional authors who could have done this? Could someone know your password?

    If I were you I would virus-scan my PC in case someone has a keylogger then remove the unwanted emails and change the password. Check users to see if someone has allowed additional administrators

    Two things –

    1) you have a WordPress.ORG install on your own host and you are not hosted on WordPress.COM (see below for more info)

    2) You have a Register option in your sidebar in the Meta Widget – anyone can click on that and register – not sure what they register for but the option is there (some sites require registration to comment) –
