I thought I could post this directly to them, but it's not possible, so then …

Hello,
I have a problem using the new editor. I find it less comprehensive than the old one, with the functions on the left while before on the right, and sometimes I cannot see the bottom of the page, while this never happens in the old editor. (I have posted on the forum, too).I also find the whole browsing experience with the new editor rather confusing. It behaves in many ways contrary to intuition, I believe.
Also there is a lack of consistency. I think when I click on EDIT for any post or page, it should open me the page in the editor I used to draft it. But it seems to be totally inconsistent, sometimes it opens in the old editor, sometimes in the new one, while I always use the old editor for writing my posts.
There are also features missing in the new editor such as sticky posts … or perhaps I have overlooked that?
As you seem to encourage users to switch to the new editor, I do not see a reason for it and I sincerely hope you are not throwing us this badly programmed thing over the head!
Beep beep boop … let’s stay with what works, and improve that instead of putting everything upside-down. I hope you will thoroughly reflect again before making the new editor standard.
So far, I need to go one way only, for in all other cases, I will get into the Beep beep boop train. I need to go to WP admin, then to pages or posts, and start from here for posting or editing. It’s a bit awkward after all …
Thanks for listening to my suggestions … I hope they are useful and contribute to program a much better version for the new editor in the near future!
Best regards,
Dr. Peter Fritz Walter

Hi there. All feedback on the new editor is currently going into this thread that is being monitored by staff: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/please-reinstate-the-option-of-choice-to-use-the-old-publishing-format?replies=499 Can I ask you to please post your feedback there as well?
I see you already know how to get to the classic editor. However, there is also a workaround created by another user to force your browser (Chrome and Firefox) to automatically redirect to the classic editor whenever the new editor loads by adding a user script in your browser. See here for instructions on doing that: http://wp.me/p3639L-Iu

WOW, I send you a quick and big THANK YOU for this information.
I will read these instructions attentively and hope I can implement that, it would be ideal for I am really annoyed with this Beep Beep Boop thing that I kinda flip out with angry feelings (which is normally not my nature).
I will also have a look at the thread you pointed me to and hope I can contribute to the discussion.
I do not honestly believe that WordPress will ever implement anything that is grossly imperfect, for they have done such amazing progress in the past years.
I have switched now all my 22 web domains to WordPress.com for the only way a WordPress site is fast and reliable is when it’s hosted with WordPress.com. I have been with a number of hosting providers which were great but for WordPress they said *sorry* overall, and there were issues constantly, like HTTP errors when uploading images and other issues.
Thus I do believe in WordPress, while I may have sounded a bit negative in my last posts, but I am not. Thanks again, I will post again if I don’t get it done:)

The new editor has us all baffled. Hopefully they either get it fixed soon, or let it go :)

Nobody is perfect, but at the end they will do it right. It may have been exciting for them to bring that out for reasons we don’t know. Apple also makes sometimes big mistakes and later they respond to customer feedback and change things. And yet, they are truly great, and so innovative.
I know I will never go back to PC and I also know I will never go back to server hosting with all the hassle you have to update your sites, your plugins, and so on. I have waited for that decision for many years until I was sure WordPress is on an upward spiral. This little incident will not change that trend!
I trust they will do it right and I see the thread you were pointing me too is very extensive. Some people are way more angry than I, and others are contributing with great ideas. Thanks again!
