I thought of deleting my account, but something didn't go through

  Okay, so I thought of deleting my account to start fresh but it seems I didn’t have that option and was suggested (from your help center I believe) to simply rename everything to something random, which I did and I wasn’t able to register again.

  Decided ‘what the hell’ and to try to untangle the situation by getting everything back how it was initially, but when I try to revert back the Username, it’s telling me that it’s already taken. So…um…what now? :D

  Howdy –

  The user name is unable to be restored. Account deactivation is intended to be permanent which is why the old username is unavailable.

  This process prevents anyone else form impersonating you in the future under that username.
